More complete version for the oxy cursors
Given that I had to do it for the release-team mailing list[¹] I’m going to link the more complete version of the cursor theme here too.
This is much more complete not yet perfect, but much better. I just noticed the watch has a small glitch when rotating, but it’s a minor thing (which I’m fixing right now). Here you can download the white version, the yellow version and the green version. Yes, this one is for you Sebas. =)
Don’t worry, I will make a proper release with a proper announcement with all the colors linked and all this stuff when it will be the right time… this is meant to be a 5 minutes post, already lost too much time on endless mail (and IRC) discussions in these days.
If you’re interested, Harald ‘apachelogger’ Sitter made a screencast showcasting the cursors in all of their beauty (unlike the pic showing a naked Zack
).
See you soon!

¹ They seem to think that a cursor theme might break something, or they have other points which I still haven’t understood… but I don’t want to polemize… anyway, I seem to need to convince them to include the theme in 4.0.

If its not included something else will break, my heart

With all releases there are always bugs to iron out after the first public release, but since it is understood that KDE 4.0 will not be a bug-free product, it makes sense to release the iconset with KDE4.0 even though it hasn’t had a public post-release “polishing”.
whew, that is a long sentence

I like them. They make me remind a bit of http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/Pinux’s+Tux+Cursors+Theme?content=19506, which is one of my favorite themes as wwell

I love these cursors. Would it be possible to also make them in some blue color that would go together with the Obsidian Coast color scheme. Maybe a blue that is similar to focus or hoover highlight. Keep up the great work!

Nice… the style is very similar to the “Polar” cursors.

Since it does not look like that this would be included in KDE 4.0, are you fine for distros to release KDE 4.0 with these cursors (or would you prefer to wait for 4.0.1/4.1 where every distro will get it)?
I am interested to include this in next KDE 4.0 snapshot for Kubuntu and use them by default. But I would not like to do this, if authors are not fine with this.

@Lure:
Thanks, I’m really excited and I’d love to see them shipped as default in kubuntu.
I need to check if David is fine too, but I really think he is.
Before inclusion, we would like to sort out just a couple of rough edges the theme still has, and be sure we’re using all the names that are needed (this is not as easy as it might seem, cursor names are a mess). I will need to talk to someone with Xorg knowledge, maybe fredrikh, to sort this out.
I hope in less than ~8-10 days we will finish this and can release a set for you. =)
Thanks, I’ll get to you again via mail, feel free to write to me if you want. =)

I love them and can’t stand not having them for both Linux and for windows (wine doesn’t cut it for some games + wireless is a pain in linux)

@Neja:
. Eventually I hope ruphy will let me fold these into kde’s svn, at which point you’ll be able to make your own sets with whatever colors you like.
In addition to quite a few sets you don’t see yet, I’m making flavors specifically tailored for most (all but Highland Mist probably) of the shipped color schemes as well (not sure they’ll be included in 4.0 or not, though), although my Obsidian Coast set is more black than blue

I really like this cursor theme.
There is just one small thing: When clicking with the waiting cursor the sensitive point is in the upper left corner while I am always expecting it to be in the middle of the two circles. At the moment I keep clicking at the wrong item as it feels counterintuitive to click with the upper left corner (and as the circles keep moving you sometimes have to guess where this is).

Ciao Riccardo,
quando ci fa il set di cursori rosso? ti informo che il tuo cursore (in tutti i colori) è entrato nel mio KDE4 e penso ci resterà a vita, troppo bello
ps=la rifai l’icona per kmix che sta nella systray? è troppo brutta..

How about a BLUE theme ? PLEASE : )

Ciao Riccardo,
