About the upcoming 4.0 release
Although I’m skeptical that all of the problems with the release candidate can be fixed in only one month, a rough first release seems a small price to pay for the significant long-term advantages offered by the transition.
Definitely well said Ryan Paul! =)
P.S. Getting a bit annoyed from these ADs, hope they do not get too much in the way. Please tell me if they do.

It is better to have rough start with KDE4 than fail with whole KDE series (or fail with KDE4.1).
KDE team dont have same kind change to fail as Microsoft did have with Vista or as some people says about from apple and leopard.
But it isn’t nice to see KDE4 to be a not so polished because it has got so much media now. Someone really can say KDE did “vista’s”. But Lets turn eyes to KDE 4.1 version what should be that what normal users are already waiting(?)

I don’t think it will really matter if KDE4.0 isn’t as polished as Vista or Leopard. It’s unrealistic to expect it to match the polish of those OS on the first release. But that’s one of the facets of open-source development, and I’m sure after the initial release - rapid progress will follow. I’m a long time Gnome-fan/KDE-critic and am thoroughly impressed by what KDE4 has to offer. Kudos to all KDE4 devs for excellent work!
