So the winners end up being submissions from whomever has the most friends. In other words, it's never a reliable system. I'd rather have an anonymous selection by complete strangers. After all, if they require approval after submission, there are no more reasons (from my point of view) to keep us mortals from participating to such direct-impact part of KDE4, like the desktop wallpaper is.
